Spectacular Scenery, Whatever the Season
The Windrush river
weaves it's way through the North Western Cotswolds. It is prominent
in Lower Slaughter, Bourton on the Water, Sherborne and Burford. The Cotswolds is predominantly a farming area and has a
history steeped in the wool industry. The countryside is bathed in yellow in the spring
when the rapeseed flowers are at their peak. The church tower on the
horizon is All Saints, Churchill, The Forge's neighbour. After the
harvest, in the Autumn, the fields are laden with bales of feed for
the long Winter months.
